Experience Requirement: 3+ years of experience in the federal regulation of health care finance including Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act and familiarity with the relevant fraud and abuse laws including the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Ethics in Patient Referrals Act of 1989 (commonly known as the “Stark Law”). Health care transactional experience is a required.

Key Characteristics:

  • Rare opportunity (i) to participate in rulemaking proceedings before the Department of Health and Human Services (including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Office of Inspector General), Departments of Treasury and Labor, (ii) to represent clients in administrative hearings, and (iii) to assist in counseling clients involved in corporate transactions.

Academics: Strong performance in law school

Bar Admission Requirement: Admitted to the Texas Bar or eligible for admission to the Texas Bar.

Compensation: Top of market based on office location/experience
